I got into security the way it actually sticks: building things, breaking them, and writing down what went wrong. My homelab is where that happens — a Proxmox box running Wazuh, Tailscale, and whatever I'm currently studying, documented writeup by writeup on this site.
Days are IT support — endpoints, tickets, real users — which teaches more about the human side of security than any cert. Nights are the A.A.S. in Cybersecurity at Community College of Denver, rolling into WGU's B.S. in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance in May 2026. I'm aiming at blue-team work: detection engineering and network defense, with enough offensive skills to know what I'm defending against.
